What do you think of when you hear the word politics? What does Warwickshire County Council actually do for you?

Everyone seems to be asking you to vote for something – whether it’s which celebrity you want to see eat a witchety grub in the Australian Jungle or making sure Ed Balls jives his way to Blackpool.

But, if by the 4th May 2017, you are 18 years old, you can finally take part in a vote that makes a real difference.

Every issue that you care about is political.

By voting in the County Council Elections next May you can help make a change for the issues that matter.  County Councillors play a key role in the running of

– Schools

– Youth Centres

– Libraries

– Transport

And they can help tackle issues such as Bullying, Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Unemployment.

Councillors represent the area you live in; they help in the decision making process that may directly affect you.

Councillors also review Council policy and scrutinise decisions that have been made by the Executive or Cabinet.

Your vote is your voice.  Be the Change Maker for your local area and help influence the decisions that will affect you.
