Health and Wellbeing Update

Warwickshire’s Health and Wellbeing Board will meet on 19th November. This multi-agency Board brings together partners from clinical commissioning groups, NHS England, Healthwatch, district and borough councils and our own elected members and lead officers. You can find out more about the Board through its dedicated newsletter.

Items for the next meeting include:

Peer Challenge

Judith Hurcombe is the Local Government Association’s lead officer for the health and wellbeing peer challenge taking place in January. She will give a presentation to the Board on what the peer challenge will entail.

Health and Wellbeing Strategy

Final sign-off of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy is being sought at this Board meeting. This is the culmination of many months’ work to review the Strategy and its priorities. The Strategy provides Warwickshire with a picture of what the Health and Wellbeing Board will need to deliver over the next 5 years and how partners will work together to achieve this.

A joint presentation will be made on the commissioning plans of Social Care and Public Health, supplementing those reported to the last meeting on the plans of clinical commissioning groups.

Response to ‘Winterbourne’

Transforming Care and the Winterbourne Concordat placed a number of requirements on local areas including the development of a joint plan for high quality care and support services for people of all ages with challenging behaviour.
