Election Results Declared

New Bitmap Image

So – all of the results have been declared in Warwickshire. You can see all of the results here. The current makeup of the Council is:

Conservatives: 26 seats

Labour: 22 seats

Liberal Democrats: 9 seats

Independent: 3 seats

Green Party: 2 seats

We’ve had a really busy morning at the five election counts – inputting all of the results in our brand-new, open-source, open-data elections results system. We’ve developed this in-house with our e-services team, who built this from scratch, effectively for free. We’re really, really pleased with the system – we’ve had some good feedback already, and would love to know what you guys think. drop us an email or tweet us @warksdemocracy.

About Martyn Harris
I work for Warwickshire County Council as a Democratic Services Officer. What's that? Minute taker, researcher, advisor, general policy-type person. Throw in a healthy does of Scrutiny work and an interest in corporate governance and there you go.

    Martyn –

I can find almost everything I want, in the election results, except the actual numbers who voted for each party, county wide. Forgive me if I’m being a bit dim.

Hey Alasdair – we haven’t had chance to go through all of the stats yet, but in the meantime, our developers have published a blogpost about the different data we’ve got available, and the ways you can manipulate to get different statistics – this might be useful to you? Check out the blog here.
